Sumhoon Wood is active in timber-processing activities, which include logging, sawing raw timber, and preserving and kiln-drying sawn timber. The plant processes around 20,000 cubic metres of sawn timber annually and maintains a workforce of 70 skillfully trained employees. The production process is stringently monitored and supervised to ensure top quality and high consistency. Sumhoon Wood supplies to a large number of furniture manufacturers in Malaysia. These processed wood are then turned into high quality and stylish furniture products.

The founders of Sumhoon Wood continuously look for business expansion and diversification. By teaming up with numerous furniture manufacturers in Malaysia, Homeriver Inc. was founded in 2005 to promote and distribute Malaysian-make furniture in the U.S. Based in San Diego, California, Homeriver has warehouses in Los Angeles and Atlanta to better serve customer needs and to shorten the product delivery lead time in both West Coast and East Coast.
